About us

Empowering women and youth, together

We support women, youth and families — including survivors of abuse, newcomers, single mothers and violence-affected communities — grounded in dignity, safety and hope.

Our mission is to provide safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces where women and youth can heal, grow and lead. We work to break cycles of violence, isolation and poverty through practical support, healing-centred programs and community connection.

  • Trauma-informed practice — safety, choice and respect lead every conversation.
  • Cultural sensitivity — your culture and identity are valued, not explained away.
  • Confidentiality — what you share stays between us.
  • Peer mentorship — support from people who understand the road.
Reaching out

What happens when you contact us

Reaching out is often the hardest part. Here is what happens on our side of it — so there are no surprises.

Talk to someone

You will not be asked to prove what happened, or to tell your story more times than you want to. We start from the assumption that you know your own situation best.

You decide what you want help with and when. Nothing moves forward — a referral, a safety plan, a call to another agency — without you choosing it.

Confidentiality is one of our core commitments. We will always explain clearly if there is ever a limit to it, before you share anything.

Our work is culturally grounded, with particular roots in African-diaspora communities. You should not have to translate yourself to be understood here.
